Canadian Balsam; Fir Balsam. Oleoresin obtained by solvent extraction from the exudate of the balsam fir, Balsam Canada, Abies balsamea, Tsuga canadiensis, Pinaceae. It contains mainly 1-beta-phellandrene, resins, essential oil, cinnamic and benzoic acids
